Environment Initiatives

The St. Vivekanand Sr. Sec. school have brought about a changein the attitude and mindset of students, the community and the city at large.The schools have equipped the students to make well informed choices, andrecognise the links between degrading environment, poverty and unsustainabledevelopment.

We lead the studentsthrough the FOUR C's - CURIOSITY, CREATIVITY, COMPETENCE & COMPASSION.Whatever the age, our attempt is to encourage active learning and directparticipation.

With many ‘Firsts’ to itscredit the Environment Education Programme of SVSSS has been the central coreof the following:

• Anti Cracker Campaign and Child Labour
• Banning of Polybags
• Installation of Roof Top Water Harvesting
• Working with RWA’s
• Becoming a ‘Zero Garbage Zone’
• Supporting Ragpickers for their education
• Spearheading environmental initiatives.
• Recycling Gray Water from the School Campus.
